GALLERY SOCIAL (2009)
drywall, steel, cinderblocks, stage lights, cables, clamps, screen prints, Koestrizer beer, and pint glass
This is a site specific work in the Hartell Gallery, Department of Architecture and Planning at Cornell University, 2009. The installation functions as a stage set through the duplication of a pre-existing moveable wall designed by architect John Zissovici. The original wall serves as the support for the stagelights; all gallery lights have been removed. The combination of lighting, wall, and prop creates a situation in which multiple inadvertent positions to be occupied, from viewer, to performer, to object, within a suspended and unscripted space.
