G.S. (limited engagement), 2009 Drywall, steel, cinderblock, Koestrizer beer, vinyl curtain, framed digital photograph with screenprint, and pint glasses. G.S. (limited engagement) is a re-siting of the installation, Gallery Social. The original wall—a to-scale reproduction of architect John Zissovici's wall for the Hartell Gallery at Sibley Hall at Cornell University—is re-quoted as yet another stage set, mimicking Rachel Harrison's Marilyn. Playing on the homonymy between citing and siting, the previous work is reframed as a "behind the scenes look" in the form of a photograph wrapped for shipment. The original partition was not so transferable. For more information see: Empty Set: The Thing and the Social Naught
